About Jennifer Graddy

Jennifer Graddy has spent the better part of twenty years inside the dog world, as a rescue advocate, a foster, a trainer, and now as someone raising a future service dog while working toward therapy dog certification with two of her own.

Yappy Life is where she writes about it honestly.

Jennifer is a Canine Companions puppy raiser, currently raising Audrey, an eight week old yellow lab and golden retriever mix who arrived from California with a purpose already decided. She is also training Felicia, a CC release dog, for therapy work alongside her certified therapy dog Cambrie. The three dogs keep life moving at a reasonable pace.

Beyond her own dogs, Jennifer serves on the board of Family Forever Animal Foundation, a Central Florida nonprofit that helps families keep their animals at home through veterinary care, financial support, and spay and neuter resources. She has seen enough of what happens when that support is not available to take the work seriously.

Yappy Life covers therapy dog work, Canine Companions puppy raising, and the human-dog bond for people who are curious about entering that world. It is written by someone who is still learning, still asking questions, and paying close attention to what the dogs are trying to say.
