Southern Hill Farms Dog Days

Embarking on a unique adventure, Cambrie, Carl, and I recently attended the inaugural Southern Hill Farms Dog Days event, an experience that left us with a trove of cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the beautiful countryside near Clermont. Nestled within the sprawling expanse of 120 acres, Southern Hill Farms stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of family-owned agriculture, offering visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the simple pleasures of farm life.

Southern Hill Farms Dog Days

For those who might not be familiar, Southern Hill Farms is more than just a farm; it’s a destination where the fruits of nature’s labor are celebrated and shared. Visitors have the chance to pick their strawberries, blueberries, and peaches, alongside the farm’s commercially harvested seasonal vegetables. Adding to the farm’s allure are the mesmerizing fields of sunflowers, which paint a vibrant backdrop against the serene landscape. It’s important to note that the farm usually operates with a no-dogs policy, making our visit all the more special as an exception to the rule.

Southern Hill Fams Dog Day event was meticulously organized as a ticketed occasion, ensuring that the atmosphere remained delightful and manageable. This thoughtful planning allowed us and our furry companions to revel in the beauty of the sunflower fields without the worry of overcrowding. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the photo session with our dogs amidst the sunflowers, capturing moments that we’ll look back on fondly. We also seized the opportunity to harvest our own sunflower, a tangible memento of our day at the farm.

No visit to Southern Hill Farms would be complete without indulging in some of their delicious strawberries, a perfect end to a perfect day. Cambrie, thriving in the event’s welcoming environment, mirrored our enjoyment. It was a joy to encounter several familiar faces from our Beyond the Leash advanced therapy class, reinforcing the sense of community that events like these foster.

Reflecting on our experience, I can’t help but highly recommend attending future Dog Day events at Southern Hill Farms. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy the farm’s offerings alongside your beloved pets, creating memories that will last a lifetime. If the chance arises again, don’t hesitate to experience the magic of Southern Hill Farms for yourself.
